Higher-accuracy transcripts for every customer
Web AppAugust 9, 2026
After a recorded call ends, Tenali re-processes the recording into a more accurate final transcript and writes the summary from that. It's what you now read in the web app, and it's on every plan rather than paid tiers only.
- Better punctuation and speaker attribution than the live transcript
- The summary is written from the more accurate version
- Expect a few minutes after a call before the transcript and summary appear
- If re-processing runs long, Tenali stops waiting and generates the summary from the transcript it already has
Tenali learns answers from your own meetings
AdminAugust 9, 2026
Your answer library used to grow only from what an admin uploaded or imported. Now every meeting Tenali records feeds it automatically — questions your customers asked and your reps answered well become part of what Tenali can say on the next call.
- No setup, no admin action, and nothing to switch on
- A rep's in-conversation answer beats a generated one for the same question
- Curated and admin-written answers are now used during live calls, not just in chat
- An answer an admin types on the FAQs page goes live on the very next call
- Suppressed questions and existing FAQs are respected — nothing is duplicated
Transcription in 18 languages, detected automatically
Desktop AppAugust 9, 2026
Tenali transcribes 18 languages and works out which one is being spoken on its own. There's nothing to configure before a call, and a conversation that switches language mid-sentence stays transcribed.
- English, German, Spanish, French, Italian, Portuguese, Turkish, Dutch, Swedish, Norwegian, Danish, Finnish, Hindi, Vietnamese, Arabic, Hebrew, Japanese and Chinese
- Automatic detection per call — no workspace setup needed
- Keeps up when a call switches language partway through
- Punctuation and capitalization are always applied
Pushing a summary logs it instead of overwriting
IntegrationsAugust 6, 2026
Push to CRM no longer replaces the record's Description. The recap is logged as its own entry — a note on the HubSpot deal's timeline, or a completed Meeting activity on the Salesforce opportunity — so every meeting keeps its own record. And you can undo it.
- Push five meetings to the same deal and all five recaps sit on the timeline in order
- Description is only replaced if you tick the opt-in box in the dialog
- Every successful push carries an Undo that restores the previous field values
- Re-pushing an unchanged summary reports that you already pushed it rather than writing again
- If both CRMs are connected, the button asks you to disconnect one instead of guessing
URL sources read PDFs and JavaScript-rendered sites
SourcesAugust 5, 2026
Point Tenali at a PDF on the web and it parses it as a document. Crawl a docs site and linked PDFs come along too. Documentation sites that build their content in the browser now work instead of failing quietly.
- PDFs at a URL, and PDFs found while crawling, are parsed with their structure intact
- JavaScript-rendered documentation sites are read properly
- A source that fails now shows the reason on its row instead of just stopping
- Google Docs links are refused inline with a pointer to the Drive integration
The CRM review card tells you what actually happened
Web AppAugust 4, 2026
After you press Apply, the card no longer claims success and move on. It waits for real results and reports them per change — applied, partial, failed — with links straight to the records Tenali touched.
- Per-change outcomes with "View in CRM" links on HubSpot
- Your decision and the results persist across a page reload
- Risk badges read Low risk, Needs review or High impact
- Filling a previously empty field now waits for review rather than applying silently
Integrations moved to the sidebar
Web AppAugust 2, 2026
Integrations is no longer a tab buried in Settings. It's a first-class item in the left sidebar, directly beneath Sources, so connecting a tool is one click from anywhere in the app.
- Find Integrations in the left sidebar instead of under Manage Profile
- Settings now holds Profile, Billing and AI Assistants only
- The page itself is unchanged — same connectors, same connect flow
Add a business tax ID at checkout
AdminAugust 1, 2026
Checkout now collects a business tax ID and billing address, so invoices carry the details your finance team needs. Promo codes are accepted at checkout too.
- Enter a VAT or business tax ID during checkout
- Billing address captured for invoicing
- Promo code field available on the checkout page
Chat can create companies and deals in HubSpot
Web AppJuly 27, 2026
CRM write-back is no longer update-only. When the record doesn't exist yet, chat can create the company and the deal together from the call, and deal updates now cover name, priority and deal type. Rolling out — may not be enabled for your workspace yet.
- Create a company and its deal in one step, attributed to the meeting they came from
- Rename a deal and set priority or deal type alongside stage, amount and close date
- Ask for deals across your CRM without naming an account first
- A new deal that can't be attached to its company is removed rather than left orphaned
Slack channels are filtered for signal before indexing
SourcesJuly 27, 2026
Tenali now reviews Slack messages before indexing them and keeps the ones carrying real information — decisions, explanations, pricing and customer context — leaving out the chatter. Private channels you belong to can also be imported.
- Point Tenali at a busy channel without filling your knowledge base with "+1" and standup threads
- Import private channels you're a member of, not just public ones
- When it can't tell whether a message matters, it keeps it
Ask Tenali in Slack
IntegrationsJuly 23, 2026
Connect Slack and Tenali becomes someone you can message. DM it for answers from your meetings, documents and pipeline; tag it in a channel and it answers the thread from your organization's shared knowledge; send it a file and it becomes one of your sources.
- DM the Tenali app for the same answers you get in the web app — meetings, documents, action items, CRM
- Tag @Tenali in a channel for a threaded answer, drawn only from sources published org-wide
- Send a document to the DM and Tenali indexes it into your sources, then messages you when it's ready to answer from
- Approve CRM updates on a card in Slack — every change waits for you (rolling out per workspace)
Admins: search every team meeting from chat — and play any recording
AdminJuly 20, 2026
With Admin Full Access, the main chat gains an All meetings / My meetings switch that answers from every recording in your workspace, and the admin meeting view now plays any team member's recording. Rolling out — may not be enabled for your workspace yet.
- Flip chat to All meetings for org-wide answers — source cards show who recorded each cited call
- Ask team questions like "How many calls did each rep have this week?" or "Review a rep's pipeline"
- Play team recordings from the admin meeting view — video or audio, with every playback audit-logged
Chat answers about people, action items, and your connected apps
Web AppJuly 20, 2026
Ask about a teammate by name, pull your open action items, and see richer sources — platform logos on meeting cards and CRM record cards that link straight to the deal or contact.
- Ask about teammates by name — "What meetings was Priya part of?" (admins can search org-wide)
- "What are my open action items?" returns a dated list, filterable by status and date range
- Salesforce and HubSpot records cited in answers link directly to the record
Background imports follow your subscription
Web AppJuly 16, 2026
Automatic Fireflies and Slack imports pause when your plan lapses and catch up on their own when you resubscribe — nothing is disconnected and nothing is deleted.
- Integrations stay connected while paused; your data stays put
- On resume, imports pick up right where they left off automatically
- Viewing past meetings, summaries, and sources always keeps working
Update your CRM straight from chat
Web AppJuly 8, 2026
Chat can now propose updates to your HubSpot or Salesforce from meeting content. Higher-impact changes wait for your approval, and anything applied can be undone. Rolling out — may not be enabled for your workspace yet.
- Review each change with a before-and-after comparison
- Low-risk updates apply automatically; forecast-affecting changes wait for your approval
- Update deals, log activities, create follow-up tasks, and add contacts — every change linked to its source meeting
Self-serve billing: pause, cancel, resume, and change plans
Web AppJuly 7, 2026
Manage your subscription yourself from Manage Profile → Billing — no need to contact support for routine changes.
- Pause, cancel, or resume your subscription in a click (your data always stays)
- Upgrade or downgrade in place on your existing plan, prorated — no second checkout
- Apply promo codes at checkout
Recordings keep going through network drops
Desktop AppJuly 3, 2026
A dropped connection no longer ends your recording. Capture continues and Tenali restores live answers on its own.
- Audio and transcript capture continue even if the live-answers connection is lost
- Transcripts are safely queued on disk and sent when the connection returns
- Reconnects immediately when your computer wakes from sleep
Ask chat about your meetings and pipeline
Web AppJuly 2, 2026
Chat can now list and count your meetings accurately and review your pipeline by account.
- Accurate totals grouped by day, with each meeting linked
- "Review my pipeline" groups meetings by account with a timeline
- Filter by company and meeting type, in your local time zone
Organization-wide billing with shared seats
AdminJuly 1, 2026
Admins can manage the whole organization's plan on one bill from Admin → Billing. Rolling out — may not be enabled for your workspace yet.
- One bill for the org; seats match your active member count automatically
- Recording hours are pooled across the whole organization
- Members covered by the org plan aren't billed separately
Smarter Question Intelligence
AdminJune 17, 2026
Question Intelligence now keeps low-value questions out of your way and lets you lock in the answers you trust.
- Noise and small talk are auto-filtered off the dashboard (hidden, not deleted)
- "Never show again" permanently suppresses a question everywhere
- Promote a captured answer to a Golden answer that Tenali uses verbatim
Company-first HubSpot push
IntegrationsJune 16, 2026
Pushing a summary to HubSpot now finds the right company first, then scopes deals to it — so the correct deal is always reachable.
- Auto-matches the company by attendee email domain, or search or create one inline
- Pick an existing deal scoped to that company, or create a new one
- Now available on impromptu meetings too, with the full overview and next steps
Admins can ask AI across the whole team
AdminJune 14, 2026
Admins can ask AI about the entire team's meetings from a side chat panel with saved history. Rolling out — may not be enabled for your workspace yet.
- Ask about any team member's meetings, with clickable citations
- A side panel keeps your conversation history
- Open, edit, share, and export any organization meeting
Better desktop updates
Desktop AppApril 16, 2026
Updates are less intrusive and never interrupt a call.
- Dismissing the update banner snoozes it for ~4 hours (survives restart)
- A waiting update installs on its own when the app is idle and you're not in a meeting
- Check for updates manually from the menu bar or system tray
Guided permission setup on macOS
Desktop AppApril 13, 2026
Granting macOS permissions is now a guided, near-automatic flow.
- Tenali opens System Settings and brings it to the front for you
- Walks you through each permission and advances as you grant them
- Inline guidance so you always know what to toggle
Overlay docks beside your call
Desktop AppApril 10, 2026
When recording starts, the overlay docks to a screen edge and gently moves your meeting window over so it sits beside your call instead of covering it.
- Docks to a screen edge and resizes your meeting window to fit
- Move it between the left and right edges with the dock-side toggle
- Drag it away to undock and restore your meeting window
Tenali desktop app for Windows

- NSIS installer with Desktop and Start Menu shortcuts
- Auto-updates from the same release channel as macOS

- Banner appears at 55 minutes with time remaining
- Recording stops cleanly at 60 minutes
- Fully supported platforms (Zoom, Meet, Teams, Slack) are not affected by this limit

- Reduced startup latency when joining calls
- More reliable platform identification
Startup connectivity check with IT guidance
