Tenali AI Docs

Glossary

Definitions of key terms used throughout Tenali AI documentation.

A

Action Items — Key follow-up tasks extracted from meeting summaries. Visible in the web app after a call ends.

B

Battle Card — A competitive reference document uploaded as a source. Tenali uses battle cards to answer competitive questions during live calls.

C

Chat (Ask Tenali Anything) — The AI-powered chat interface in the Tenali web app. Use it for ad-hoc questions, pre-call prep, and exploring your knowledge base outside of live calls.

F

Fully Supported Platform — A meeting platform with deep, native integration in Tenali (Zoom, Google Meet, Microsoft Teams, Slack). Full audio + screen capture, native metadata, and no time limits.

I

Integration — A connection between Tenali and an external system (CRM, calendar, communication tool, or data source). Integrations sync data and extend Tenali workflows.

L

Live Assist — Real-time question detection and answer generation during an active call. The core feature of the Tenali desktop overlay.

O

Overlay — The floating desktop panel that displays real-time transcripts and answers during a live call. Runs alongside your meeting app.

R

Recording Mode — How Tenali captures meeting audio. See Recording Modes for the difference between fully supported and universal capture.

S

Source — A document, file, URL, or connected system that Tenali uses to generate answers. Sources form your company's knowledge base — the better your sources, the better Tenali's answers.

Summary — An AI-generated recap of a completed meeting, including key topics discussed and outcomes. Available in the Tenali web app and optionally pushed to your CRM.

T

Transcript — A real-time or post-call text record of everything said during a meeting. Visible in the overlay during the call and saved in the web app afterward.

U

Universal Capture — Tenali's recording mode for platforms outside the fully supported tier. Captures audio only, with a 60-minute time limit. Works with 25+ platforms.

W

Workspace — Your team's shared Tenali environment. Contains members, sources, integrations, meetings, and settings. Each workspace is isolated and access-controlled.
