Push Summary to CRM
Log a meeting summary to the right Salesforce opportunity or HubSpot deal — pick the record and push, no copy/paste.
After a call, you shouldn't have to retype what just happened into your CRM. Open the meeting summary, click one button, pick the record, and Tenali writes the recap straight onto the Salesforce opportunity or HubSpot deal.
Before You Start
You need a CRM connected first. Tenali supports Salesforce and HubSpot — connect one from the Integrations page:
You can push meetings you recorded. The push button doesn't appear on summaries shared with you, or in the admin org-wide meeting view.
Where to Push From
There are two entry points, and both open the same dialog:
- The summary toolbar — open a meeting from your library and click "Push to Salesforce" or "Push to Hubspot". It's available on meetings you recorded — including impromptu and universal (audio-only) meetings captured through the desktop app — but not on summaries shared with you or in the admin org-wide meeting view. It's greyed out until the meeting has a generated summary.
- The meetings list — in the All Meetings tab, each row has a small CRM logo button ("Push to Salesforce" / "Push to HubSpot") so you can log a call without opening it. This one only appears once a CRM is connected, and it doesn't check for a summary first — push a meeting that hasn't been summarized yet and it will fail.
Push a Summary
Clicking the button opens the push dialog. From here the flow depends on your CRM:
No CRM Connected?
If you click the push button before connecting a CRM, Tenali shows a prompt: "You haven't integrated any CRM — Go to Integrations, and integrate a CRM first to push summaries." Click the "Go to Integrations" button in that prompt to connect Salesforce or HubSpot, then come back and push.
After You Push
The push updates the one record you selected. Updating that record creates nothing alongside it — no note, task, call, activity, or event — and doesn't touch stage, amount, owner, pipeline, or any custom field. (The HubSpot dialog's inline Create company and Create & push options are the exception: those deliberately create the company or deal first, then push onto it.)
Three fields are written:
- Description — a header line followed by your numbered next steps. The header reads
<meeting date and time> - <your first and last name>: <the Overview text>, for example:June 03, 2026 at 02:30 PM PDT - Jane Smith: Discovery call with Acme; agreed to a 3-week pilot. - Next Step (Salesforce) / Next step (HubSpot) — every item from the summary's Action Items and Next Steps section, renumbered 1, 2, 3. Items you've ticked off are still included; the checkbox state stays in Tenali.
- Close date — filled in only when Tenali can infer a specific date.
Everything else stays in Tenali: Key Points, attendees, the questions-and-answers section, the transcript, the recording link, and the meeting title are not pushed.
Pushed to the wrong record?
You can push the same meeting again to a different record — but the first record keeps what Tenali wrote. Tenali doesn't clean it up, so clear the Description and Next step on the wrong record yourself.
Nothing in the app marks a meeting as already pushed, so if you're unsure whether a push landed, check the record in your CRM.
