Salesforce
Ask about any opportunity in chat, and push your meeting recap straight back to the record.
Connect Salesforce so Tenali can pull account, contact, and opportunity details into chat — and, when the call wraps, push your meeting outcomes straight back onto the opportunity with a click from the summary. No more copy-pasting notes or hunting for the right record.
What connecting unlocks
- Ask your CRM in chat — with Salesforce connected, chat can pull opportunity, account, and contact details into an answer and cite the record it used. CRM lookups happen in the web app, before and after calls.
- Push a summary to the right record — turn a finished meeting into an updated opportunity in a few clicks from the summary toolbar: pick the account and the opportunity, then push. See Push a Summary to Your CRM.
- Update your CRM from chat Rolling out — ask Tenali to update a deal, log the meeting, create a follow-up task, or add a contact. By default, changes that move the forecast wait for your approval on a review card and additive ones like a note or a task apply straight away — though additive changes share the card when they're batched with one that needs review, and an explicit "go ahead" can let forecast changes through without it — except a move to closed-won or closed-lost, which always needs your confirmation. See Update Your CRM from Chat.
What Tenali writes
The Push to Salesforce button updates exactly three fields on the one Opportunity you select:
- Description — the meeting's date and time, your name, the summary overview, then the numbered next steps.
- Next Step — the same numbered next-step list.
- Close Date — only when Tenali can infer a specific date from the summary.
Connect Salesforce
Salesforce connects through a secure OAuth handshake — you authorize once in a new browser tab and Tenali stays connected from then on.
- 1
Open Integrations
In the web app at
app.tenali.ai, go to the Manage Integrations page. You'll see Salesforce listed in the table under the "Application" column. - 2
Click Connect
Click the Connect button in the "Action" column on the Salesforce row. A new browser tab opens, and Tenali shows the message "Complete the Salesforce connection in the new tab."
- 3
Authorize in the new tab
Sign in to Salesforce and approve access. If nothing opens, check your pop-up blocker and allow pop-ups for
app.tenali.ai. Tenali waits about two minutes for you to finish — if the tab is closed or the authorization stalls, the attempt ends with "Connection timed out. Please try again." - 4
Confirm it's connected
The Salesforce row now shows a green Connected badge with a Disconnect option, and you'll see the toast "Salesforce connected!"

Connecting Salesforce
The Manage Integrations table with the Salesforce row showing the Connect button, then the Connected badge after authorizing.
Every teammate connects their own Salesforce account, and Tenali reads and writes as you — see How CRM Connections Work.
Disconnect Salesforce
On the Salesforce row, click Disconnect. Tenali confirms with "Your account has been disconnected!" Chat loses CRM access on your very next message, and the summary toolbar's push button reverts to a generic Push to CRM that only prompts you to connect one. You can reconnect any time by clicking Connect again.
