How Tenali Works
How Tenali delivers real-time answers during live calls and helps you after the call ends.
Here's what happens when you're on a call with Tenali running.
During the Call
1. Meeting Detection
When you open a meeting app (Zoom, Teams, Meet, or any supported platform), Tenali's desktop app detects it by watching your active window. A notification prompt asks if you want Tenali to assist on this call.
2. Live Transcription
Once you start, Tenali captures meeting audio from your machine and transcribes it in real time. You'll see transcript lines appear immediately in the overlay as the conversation flows.
3. Automatic Answers — No Typing, No Searching
As your call progresses, answers appear automatically in the overlay. You don't need to type anything, search for anything, or switch tabs. Tenali listens to the conversation and surfaces relevant answers from your company's knowledge base on its own — hands-free, in real time.
The answers show up as cards in the overlay:
- Green card — Tenali found a confident answer backed by your sources. Shows the question, the answer, and expandable source citations.
- Amber card — Tenali heard something relevant but couldn't find a strong match in your sources. This signals you may need to add more source material.
- "Tenali is listening..." — No questions have come up yet. This is normal at the start of a call.
After the Call
4. Summaries, Transcripts, and CRM Updates
When the call ends, Tenali generates a summary and full transcript, saved in the web app. If you've connected a CRM (Salesforce or HubSpot), summaries can be pushed to the relevant deal or opportunity record automatically.
5. Ask Anything Across All Your Meetings
After the call, you can open Chat and ask questions across all your past meetings — not just the one that just ended. For example:
- "What pricing concerns came up in my last 3 calls with Acme Corp?"
- "What did the buyer ask about security in yesterday's demo?"
- "Summarize all objections from this week's pipeline calls"
Tenali searches across your entire meeting history, summaries, transcripts, connected sources, and CRM data to give you a single answer. No digging through recordings or scrolling through notes.
