Chat (Ask Tenali Anything)

Use Tenali's AI-powered chat for ad-hoc questions, pre-call prep, and deep knowledge exploration.

Chat is the fastest place to query company knowledge outside an active meeting. Unlike a simple search, Tenali's chat is an AI agent — it reasons across your sources, pulls context from your CRM, and synthesizes answers in real time.

What Makes Chat Powerful

Tenali's chat isn't just keyword matching. It uses an intelligent AI agent that can:

  • Search across all your sources — files, URLs, Google Drive, OneDrive, SharePoint, Notion, Slack channels, and meeting transcripts
  • Pull CRM context — reference Salesforce or HubSpot deal data, contact info, and opportunity history when answering
  • Reason multi-step — break complex questions into sub-queries, retrieve from multiple sources, and combine results into a coherent answer
  • Stream answers in real time — see the response build as Tenali works, with source citations inline
  • Cite its sources — every answer includes references to the specific documents, pages, or records it used

What Chat Uses

  • Connected sources (files, URLs, drives, Slack, Notion, SharePoint)
  • Meeting transcripts and summaries from your workspace
  • CRM data from Salesforce or HubSpot (if connected)
  • Calendar context and attendee information

Getting Started

Chat may show setup guidance when your workspace has no context yet:

  • No connected calendar
  • No meeting history
  • No indexed sources

Once any of those exists, chat input and assistant response workflows activate. The more sources you connect, the better Tenali's answers become.

Good Prompt Patterns

  • "Summarize our security posture for enterprise buyers"
  • "What is our migration timeline for customer type X?"
  • "Give 3 objection-handling options for pricing concerns"
  • "What did the customer ask about in our last meeting?"
  • "Pull the deal details for Acme Corp and draft a follow-up email"
  • "Compare our pricing to competitor X using our battle cards"
