Updating the App & Troubleshooting
Install desktop updates safely and resolve the most common session issues on macOS and Windows.
The desktop app can present update-ready banners when a newer version is available. This works the same way on both macOS and Windows.
Update Flow
- Banner appears only in safe state (typically standby)
Restartapplies the downloaded updateDismisshides banner until next reminder- Critical updates are highlighted separately
Common Desktop Issues
- Permissions were granted, but overlay still does not start
- Meeting detected but transcript stream is empty
- Frequent reconnecting state during unstable network periods
